Please don't get a fartcan. No matter how good they sound or how cheap the price, most cars can not pull off the look of the fartcan.
With that said, here is my current exhaust.
(I have had 4 or 5 exhaust systems, this one sounds the best)

Pacesetter armor coated header
Custom Pacesetter 2.5" Downpipe
Stainless 2.5" Flex Pipe
Magnaflow 91036 2.5" catalytic converter
Magnaflow 10346 2.5" resonator
Custom Tubes 2.5" mandrel bent catback
Dynomax Super Turbo 2.5" Muffler

Sounds good in the video.
Also good to know that you have tired 4-5 exhaust systems before you found something that sounded good.
I am looking into doing some exhaust work to my wife's 99 Sunfire Coupe. Looking at getting a ebay header (for the 2.2 OHV) having a custom 2.25" downpipe made going to a Maganflow 2.25" in/out cat to a 18" 2.25" inlet/outlet glass pack to 2.25" exhaust piping to a Dual outlet Hayame muffler.
The Hayeme is kinda a fart cannon but not really. It was expensive when I bought it brand new at $200 10 years ago. It has only 30K on it and looks new and has sounded awesome onthe 2 previous cars I had it on. They were not J-body's but both cars had a really nice deep tone with no buzzing at any rpm/speed. Both cars did not have resonators so I believe my planned combo should sound good.

99 SUNFIRE COUPE, 2.2L AUTO, WHITE.
BONE STOCK...............FOR NOW.

I run a header to no cat, a 30" res through 2.5 piping to a megan n1.

The megan sounds like @!#$ and is getting replaced with my previous ss magnaflow.

Ill vouch for this guy, lol. Car sounds pretty good.

Im running a similar setup, except I kept the stupid ball and socket fitting on the header.

Sounds good at idle, a little louder when you get on it.

No buzz, no rasp, no @!#$ty fart can sound.

I had a super turbo muffler on my car and it was just too quiet. I dont like omg ricer loud but I do like to hear my car. I used a Bullet race muffler for my resonator, I think its made by Dynomax.

I have a pacesetter 4-1 armor coat header and an eastern high flow cat with a 2.5 flex pipe and custom down pipe with 2.5 in aluminized exhaust piping ss magnaflow kind of a big can but Tucks well with nice tip exposure and sounds amazing really deep and pretty loud with a little ricer rasp in high rpms but sounds great wouldn't change for any thing else.. maybe delete the cat and add a big resonator..
