98 swap

Hey Guys
I'm a new member to this site so please be patient with me. I've scoured the forum but have not found the answer to my questions. I'm putting a 3400 from a 98 Silhouette into a 98 Z24. I am going to use the Olds pcm to run the engine and the Cav pcm to run the cluster. my first question is ' if I leave some of the 2.4 engine sensors unplugged/or cut them then my 'check engine' light will be on all the time, do I have all the engine codes removed from the pcm? My second question is ' How do I use the engine sensors for both pcm's? Thanks

There's a brown wire with white stripe (i think that's the color) running into the C100 connector. Cut it, and no more engine light (illegal). But yeah, have fun finding the information, since you didn't bother to search, or look around.

sorry if i come off as rude to you but everyone wants to do these V6 swaps but no one wants to do it properlybecaust it will cost an extra couple hundred or more work

Then what is the right way? Believe me I've looked thruogh this forum, sorry if I've missed it somewhere. I know about piggy-backing the pcms but it seems to me that both pcms will need to share some engine data info and I was wondering how other guys did it. Sorry

You're really going to feel dumb for posting that when you really do go and look.
