Wats up guys? I feel like i been missing for awhile but that's mostly because my build has ran into way more problems than I expected, which should b expected lol. I also bought a V8 S10 so I been either broke or distracted. Anywho, back to the subject...I'm back 2 my L61 Eco now & my old crank pulley is garbage. I was running the RK Sport UD pulley. I'm now looking for suggestions on a new pulley. I only remember RKS, Stock & API as options...what do you guys think? My profile shows all my existing mods. Thanks guys

Well, Both ATI pulleys are for HIGH horsepower cars. Both weight significantly more than your stock pulley. One is rated to 600hp, the other 1400hp if I remember correctly. GM also offer a billet steel pulley for a little under $700. It doesn't have a known HP limit, but max RPM limit of 9,000rpm. You can still find it through crate engine depot.
ALL aluminum ecotec crank pulleys will start to leak oil at the front seal after 50-75k miles. Sooner, if the oil seal has become hardened from age / environment. The seal wears a groove into the pulley. I have fixed a lot of peoples from various company's.
DO NOT rev higher than stock with any aftermarket crank pulley with out GM's hardened oil pump gears. The stock pulley can also take out the oil pump gears in high rev and two step applications. Also, the crank pulley bolt it torqued to yield. You MUST replace the bolt if you do anything with the crank pulley. Last I checked, the bolt was $8 from GM. Many people have reused the stock bolt, but it is NOT recommend.
MRZ's crank pulleys have been through the most revisions. There has been at least three MAJOR changes since they were released from either breaking or leaking oil seals. MRZ is the only aluminum pulley with a steel ring to help prevent the oil leak.
I have only sold one off L61 crank pulleys, currently. These were all designed for specific purposes, and are for purpose build ecotecs. If you want an off the shelf crank pulley get the MRZ one.

Thanks MD. Everything in my motor is brand new, minus the crank which is a low milage stock replacement which we made sure was up to specs & tolerances, so we dont have anything to worry about as far as age or environmental wear. I've put about $13k out already so Im not gonna put another $700 for a crank pulley, so GM is out. The oil pump gears is the last thing i have to do for high revs & trust me I know all about t-t-y bolts I replaced every single 1 of them when we buttoned the motor up the 1st time just to have to open it up again...smh. I may get with you about a pulley later because this motor is purpose built but the shell that is resides in is not so I just have to work with what I have for now & it seems like LMZ is the winner for rite now.
