Been looking around online and can't seem to find out what these 2 codes mean. I am thinking it has something to do with the sensor but not sure. The two codes usually pop up when I am gearing down and decelerating. I may end up contacting AEM if I can't find anything out online, just to make sure its not something with the gauge.
I PO code has four numbers like PO0000......
The AEM wideband only has 3 digits.
Dan - Matthew is talking about codes on his Wideband....NOT Engine service codes..and BTW, service engine codes that are the P0 variety are P0XXX.
Matthew - On the back of your wideband, you should have a turn dial. What is the dial currently set to? P00, P01, or P02?
P00 is AFR
P01 is Lambda
P02? I forgot...but whatevs.
The guage is randomly showin those different settings because internally, it is switching between P00, P01 and P02 modes. Either the back of the unit is getting bumped by something that's causeing it to switch modes, or the sensor is effed internally.
Well I will pull it out of the pod but its been in there for a few years now and haven't have had a problem. I have tried a couple different used sensors so thats what I am thinking is the issue just wasn't sure what each code meant.
No prob.
Yeah, I did a google search...and the majority of the users that had this problem got a new wideband.
You must have the old version of Wideband, seeing as how it's been in for a couple years. Kinda cool though, because I think it has the Datalogging option...maybe that's the P02?
If you were to get a new one though, I'd recommend to switch and stray away from AEM.
I was on a dyno (with a new sensor)...and I was using my AEM (with a new sensor)..and I read a full point rich under boost. Cruise/idle was 99% accurate with what the dyno was reading....
Three buddies reported the same thing, with varying dyno's. (varying with sniffer's and pre-cat bungs for the dyno widebands)
I think that AEM has a weird scaling for their widebands. It seems like the farther you stray from a stoich 14.7:1, the less and less accurate the AEM widebands are.
Well I'm not too worried about the reading as it was tuned with an innovate and datalogged on the street with the same wideband and the A/F was good. My gauge was reading rich at that time compared to the innovate that was was hooked up to HPT, but have since swapped out that sensor. Maybe I will try a new sensor, I think its around 75 bucks here. I was thinking I would hook my meth kit up again but didn't want to run too rich. Car is running pretty good right now. Seems to be around 10.9-11.3 under acceleration but like I said it sometimes throws these codes and sometimes reads in the 13's cruising down the road which I think was almost 1.0 different from the innovate that was hooked up while we were street tuning. So we ignored my gauge and went buy the innovate. I have seen that other people on different forums have had the same codes but doesn't really list what the codes mean. I would assume it has something to do with the sensor rather than the actual gauge. I'll order a new one next week most likely.
I sure love my innovate with xd-16. I see innovate just came out with the first 100% digital wideband as well.

Yes. I installed one in a friends J. Used it for tuning it also. I love this one. Going to get one for my car and using my LC-1 just for tuning peoples cars.

I go through karo only because he said a lot of the ebay people say they are authorized dealers when they are not and then you dont have warranty. Plus he can usually get them cheaper as well, with free shipping. I had my LC-1 go bad out of the box. called them up. mentioned karo@allecotec and they said oh yeah he is a vendor. new one will be on its way. So you have to be careful with ebay ones.
