I can get them for about that also at a pick n pull, but they are ones you do not want.
To get a good one that I woulf trust around here is going to cost about $800.
FU Tuning
If i need any engine components from a pick an pull i usually try to find a car that was in an accident, that way i have some reassurance that the car was still running before the owner crashed/ got plowed into
Eat my shift
$1000 for a good Ld9 with 75,000+ at the local pick-n-pulls here.
PRND321 Till I DIE
Old Motor: 160whp & 152ft/lbs, 1/4 Mile 15.4 @88.2
M45 + LD9 + 4T40-E, GO GO GO
got mine for 400 already pulled and ready to go
the pick and pull here has engine specials for $80
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
I wouldn't trust one of those though... I would rather pay 300 off the shelf for one, that means they know its good. The ones they threw out in the you pull it yard are questionable/ bad

the pick n pulls around here offer a DOA warranty. if she's blown then you can go choose another one... sucks but hey at least you know ur getting a good one.
and if ur smart you'd pull the pan and check the bearings anyway. if they are warn, swap in new and ur good to go as long as you keep up with the maintenance and TLC.
i got an eco in my 00 that came from a pick and pull and it was 50 bucks
JBO since July 30, 2001
what i dont get is whats to stop someone from say just bringing back ur dead motor and claiming it was the one you got from them LOL
i know they mark all parts but come on here... a yellow marker is cheap.
Well i got my motor for 450 deliverd to brads house from i think omaha. It apparently had 40k smomthing miles. Runs goodtill this day.
Just shop around. Look at the craigs list ebay your local junkyard. Look for old grannies driving any grand am or achieva malibu or cav that might have this motor and offer to buy the car if they have more than one vehicle. Chances are youll either find a decent car or a cheap motor or both.
buy my car and it comes with a fully built 2.4
most ppl dont wanna spend $20,000 on a gay-body, scott.
i got another ld9 2.4 for 450 with sub frame attatched. have a 30day warranty with it. replaced water pump and gaskets and oilpan gasket so no leaking issues.
