Wiring

When the new motor goes in, I will also be swapping the entire car over to an 01 harness.

I plan to have this be a lengthy process as I want to remove as much not needed wiring as possible, and plan to move and hide a few things. I guess you could say Im going to "tuck" the bay, probably not to the extent of McMoney though. I want it to look less cluttered than it does right now.

I like where Fetter placed his underhood fuse box and ECU, I have thought about the same place previously. At the least, the ECU will be down under the dash behind the center console and the fuse panel will be moved.

I want to make sure that the wiring to the speed sensors on all 4 wheels and all the wiring for the ABS module can be removed from the harness without negative affects. I know I will have the brake and ABS light on the dash, that will be taken care of as it is currently is with my 99 cluster.

Thanks in advance for the info.

Check to see if your 99 engine harness is the same as the 01 harness.

It is, I believe. With the exception of the abs I believe. It looks different than the module I removed from the car.

The 01 harness I have is in better overall condition.

I do plan to put the complete 99 harness in the box I have the 01 in and put it back up in the attic.

The only thing Im concerned with is in the body harness, I have a sunroof and I didnt see any provisions for one on the 01 harness i have but I also didnt see the connection for the map lights or dome light.

Another thing I was wondering is if the wiring is the same for the fuel pumps.
