Ok, im a novice at the whole modifying cars, and am still learning... the next step in my 2004 Cavalier is what ive been thinking about (already put catback exhaust and CAI) And i heard Aftermarket cams give a good boost in HP....Can someone please direct me in what exactly i would need to do, i know that turbotech racing has them, if so, can you send me a direct link to the ones i would need and the valvesprings needed, and do most shops install these or is is hard to find shops that do this kind of work, cause i sure as hell cant. Also, if there is anything else that gives good hp gain i would like to know, I looked into boosting it, and contacted a shop that would, but there price was 4000!!!! any hints or anything would be amazing, or even if i could just talk to somebody on here thats knows alot, because i am extremely interested in further upgrading my cavi, i love my car to death.

Running bigger cams causes your fuel system to lean out which therefore using bigger injectors to run the system rich to help avoid detonation and you could use a fuel pressure regulator to correct air fuel ratio until you tune plus the engine compression ratio because bigger cams need more compression. The bigger cams being open longer will bleed off low rpm cylinder pressure PSI cranking compression. Bigger cams raises your motors powerband, so you'll need to see what you can rev the motor to make the power. Porting the head would be considered or even if you can gasket match. I would use a 4-2-1 header for more low end and mid range than a 4-1 shorty.
