wasnt planning on putting an engine in till spring but a lady gave me an awesome deal on an eco so i bought it.... my previous eco didnt have an egr port and the new engine does but it looks like its blocked off on the power steering side of the head but the exhaust ports look different so i was just wondering if its a problem to run the saab turbo? its easier to swap heads on the engine stand than in the car haha thanks ppl....

Huh? Your cavalier had an egr port on it with a block off. They didnt remove the port from the casting until 2006. Its completely fine.

my 04 didn't have it, the 02 did, as far as I know the older Ecos never came with an actual valve there and was always a block off when the port was on the head. it's a no biggie, just extra holes
