I have seen a opel speedster first and and the oil cap is in the center of the valve cover, don't think that this is a Speedster.

Considering is says "VX220" in the bottom right corner of the photo, I'd say its a safe bet its from a Vauxhall VX220.
Opel Speedster is the same thing I guess, so thats works too.
Confirmed, it is from a Vauxhall vx220.

but, im tracking down more information before I go ahead and post it. It is the correct numbers, but availability and amount of work MIGHT not be worth it.

we will see. An advantage I see to the other one is that its watercooled with factory parts. So that may be a benefit for me vs putting in an mounting yet another cooler somewhere on the car that air can get to it. The front of my car is quite full right now...
yeah...i saved a few link and am looking into it too.
All those part numbers I found were way old and not in use. working with a few people to get the right ones.
I'm sure you could talk one of our european brothers into taking one off a car in the scrap yard or buying it over there and sending it over here.

Thats who I have been talking to. Problem is, you need the seals for each oil change, $5 each, so right off the bat its $10.
I got a quote from a guy over there already and it was figured to be around $200+ shipping. But thats the WHOLE kit. with the water cooled version. Not so sure I want the water cooled version considering our coolant runs at 195 degrees. Id much more like the tube/fin design and letting the ambient air run though it and cool it off a bit more.
For me its looking like the CBM is a better option. I can run a remote oil filter housing to the strut tower as well as a tube and fin cooler. Increased capacity... quite a few benefits.
This is fairly greek to me...so pics? and the jist of what youre doing here is...cooling the oil temps using what method?

basically the way the vauxhall vx220 works, it works like the CBM billet adapter but its a factory made eco piece, has the lines that you can tie it into the cooling system and water cool the oil.
The way the CBM piece works, you have to buy and make lines that run to a remote filter housing which you have to buy, then an oil cooler itself (typically a tube and fin design) then back to the CBM adapter.
Looks like they will run close in price to each other, just because of the shipping and replacement seals as well as locating filters for the vx220. This way we can just run a typical canister style filter for what ever filter housing you buy. At the same time increasing oil capacity if you want to.
color me silly but why not just grab the piece from where the adapter mounts, and a cheap filter relocation kit? they can be found for $30 on ebay, and you can add a $30 cooler inline... you wouldn't have to replace any seals as you'd never be moving them on oil changes, filters would most likely be something like a PH8A (mega common) and you'd have the same cooling?

the adapter runs what looks like -4 or -6, which would be a high velocity, but low volume flow for the oil filter and cooler. with a -10 for the CBM kit, you get some decent velocity as well as high volume.
You are still probably looking at $10 for the seals to put the adapter plate in, then by the time you get the adapter shipped here you are looking at $100 by the time you pay for the parts and shipping. this was just a factory option that looked simple. but it has a lot more parts to it than just the adapter, unlike the CBM...
I can confirm it's an Opel Speedster part
Runs 1/2" BSPP hoses as OE, the holes in the adapter themselves are really small.
There are some smallish differences to the oil circuit too, the two I/O on the adapter are not one inlet and one outlet but both the same, the normal circuit is blocked in the oil filter housing with a sprung device and is diverted through an adapter on the block (don't remember it exactly but might very well be where the small blue cap is)
What the heck thread spec is BSPP. I have a feeling that will be difficult to come by in the states.
