I recently came across a very cheap 1989 Pontiac sunbird turbo and I was wondering what it would take to swap this turbo into my 2001 Chevrolet cavalier

originial poster: Its an uncommon swap. You'd need everything out of the donor car, and will need to custom rewire everything behind the dash. If you have a lot of time and electrical and mechanical ingenuity and can weld, the swap is very doable, if you don't, i'd stick to a more direct drop swap, such as a LD9, Ecotec, or 3x00 swap
Just seems like slot of work for an xtra 20hp instead of an Eco swap. But if you choose to do the swap good luck and post pics!

Chances are it would take quite a bit of custom work to do. I'm not sure what motor you have. I'm too lazy to look as you were too lazy to post.
