i got my 2.4 twincam from a junkyard cavi z24, i installed and started it up and discovered it lopes, no obvious cam changes were done, it lope till just above 1000rpm. could this be aftermarket cam(s) or just a tuning problem? (note) it has all new plugs, battery, alternator, and coil packs)

i doubt it has a cam upgrade.... i know if i wrecked my car i'd pull my cams out and sell them (probably back to Clyde =P )... also if anyone took the time to weld a cps pad on a non 95 2.3 intake cam and modify it for the 2.4, they probably wouldn't let the cams stay in the motor when it went to the junkyard....
unless you have a CPS cel code, i highly doubt it has a cam upgrade

Someone I know bought a car with the LD9 from an old lady who's owned the car for years and it ended up having Eagle rods in it. Anything is possible, ha.
