Yes and yes. It's been covered before about using a 2.3 tb on the ln2 motors

No. Not on a pre-98.

Ah, I totally forgot about that. Guess owning an eco for 3.5 years is making my ln2 memory cloudy.

GM F'd-up a good engine when they redesigned the LN2 in '98 for better CAFE-testing results... 'Cuz if you think the way they preformed in the J-car was bad, it was much-worse in the S-trucks. Damn thing couldn't even average 20mpg in the "loop" under real-world driving methods. The Older one got 24.5! WTH?!?

Wtf, I consistently get 27mpg without even trying to get better gas mileage lol.

Another alternative is to have a machine shop bore out your stock 2200 TB to 56mm and use the butterfly off a 2.3L TB. I'm planning on doing this whenever I actually have time lol

Or have Mark @ O.E.M. sleeve a 2200 TB and bore it out to 62mm like I am having done.

I just did this on my 2000 s10. It helps a little on this truck but it will probably have better results in a caviler cause its lighter. Its worth it i think. I got mine for 35. It was cheaper than my ebay intake and did more.

Another alternative is to not listen to people that are throwing out bad information. Since you're not going to be doing any of this on a 95-97 2.2.

What overall got effected by this change? I mean... Did your mileage actually increase with this added, in addition to you intake, because of a positive change in drivability that they netted? Knowing this is the only way I'll consider getting it for myself, so please respond in-full!
