i was told not to mix and match them and dont know why we have in my brothers v8 before any info on why i would be told that or was it just a business owner answer

no reason why you cant mix and match sets... although when i did recently i found the weights to be completely different. we had to take a bunch off of the old three just to equate to the new single. something like 20 grams a piece iirc....

plus the older ones have the smaller bolts, newer the larger so you have to consider that as well if you mix and match.

but, if you get the weights correct and they are properly balanced they can work fine that way. the crank doesnt know they are different....

called eagle and they sell single rods so i had to pull the pistons off and weigh them and they are 547 grams so that got me wondering how much do stock rods weigh anyone know and the pistons are forsale i believe they are wiseco .020 dished have 3 of them 4th hit the head the part number in the piston is 6584m985 or 905 hard to see
