Has anyone replaced the stock bolt with one from ARP?
I've searched on here and can't find a post on it.
I've thought about getting one but I'm unsure of the thread and pitch.

Tried it, couldn't find one like it. All my others are arp thought polished
I should also specify I'm talkig about for a ld9.

Brad, what is the thread and pitch of the bolt?

stock bolt will be fine....anythign else might not have the tensile strength that is needed....its like 6 dollar bolt brand new. torque to yield. IMO stock should be fine for anything you can throw at it thomas.
it is TTY brad......doesnt mean you CANT reuse it, but its TTY. i promise...
Maybe thats why it came loose on me before. ROFL!

I know the ecotecs are torqued to yield, but I do not believe the LD9's are. no matter if they are or not it is always a good idea to replace them.

Where can I get an LD9 bolt locally? I always re-used mine... probably would be smart to use a new one this time.

If you could figure out the thread and length you could buy an AN bolt. Same strength as grade 8 but they're gun drilled and pre-drilled for safetywire, So they're lighter.

i bought a new crank bolt at a dealership for $6.36
Been a while but thought I would update. I was on summit looking for other ARP bolts and noticed their harmonic bolts and started researching again.
The bolts are M18X1.5X38. The largest I could find was a m16. I will check with ARP to see if they have anything that large.

I would just replace it with another torque to yield bolt. Its not one I see REALLY needing an ARP bolt for. Especially one that long and thick.
I know its not really needed. It was a thought that since I'm replacing it I might as well upgrade.

I'll look in my service manuals to see if the LD9 crank bolt is TTY like the ecotecs are.

Mike your coming out with lightweight Titanuim crank pulley bolts.... SWEET! Lol freaking do it!
if you could get the cost of it down to say 20 or 30 dollars then it might be ok but really, its on the centerline of the crank its not going to give any noticable gain whatsoever. it just be cool to say "yup, i have a titanium crank bolt!" hahaha
but still, every little bit helps.
