Aftermarket Intake

I have a 97 cavalier with THIS (http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_images/3/1909/3801/29771900149_large.jpg) style throttle body

I am having a hard time finding one of those simple and cheap intakes for it...I can only seem to find ones that are meant for this throttle body (http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/3/web/3171000-3171999/3171040_5_full.jpg) im assuming thats the ecotech?

I ripped the end of my stock plastic intake pipe and would like to replace it with a nicer aluminum one that would probably cost around the same price as a stock one anyways...can anyone lend a hand?

That second picture is a 2200 SFI engine.

the ECOTEC (for the love of god, there is no "H" in it) is a completely different beast entirely.

The funny thing is, is that your motor and the 2200 SFI is essetially the same engine. They both share the GM RPO code LN2 as well. However in 98, GM Reworked the head, the intake mani, and the TB (among other things) .

Your best bet is to look at some of our vendors. Im not sure which ones has intakes for the pre 98 LN2, but i would check with them first (a list of them would be found -- http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.php?f=2&i=474990&t=474990 -- ) and if all else fails, check ebay.

ive had trouble with the ebay ones because they are never able to answer if there is a hole for the air temp sensor because the pics never show it. The only definite ones are like the weapon-r which are a ridiculous $200+ which I believe is highway robbery.

order a CAI for a 2200 (98-02). lay it out, cut off the last 90* bend, and install it. this is the intake on my 96, and it fits flawlessly.
