Take the whole engine and swap it out.

If you have access to a complete W41, get the entire engine. It would be worth it to swap it in even if the LD9 was new.

My answer is unless you plan to tune, then don't do anything. No way the stock tune will work with those cams or head. Waaaay too lean on the top end and a melted piston or 4.

you can virtually use just about any part you want out of a quad in an ld9, really. well.. except for the crank.

pistons are much bigger by .080 so you can bore your LD9 out that big and then it becomes a 2.5.
rods are longer by roughly .090 and you can use them, just need to narrow the journal ends to fit an LD9 crank.
086 head is better on paper with the larger valves, smaller combustion chambers, and larger ports.
and you can use the cams like you said
intake and exhaust manifolds
2.3 oil pump assembly.

the only advantages over keeping the LD9 versus swapping to the quad are the head doesnt crack and the displacement would be a bit more.

both engines have their strengths and weaknesses but when you combind the best of both worlds the setup becomes a monster.
