I have been doing plenty of research before I begin making the swap to my 99 I already have a donor car and I am just waiting on saving up more money before I start. There is one thing though that I am not fully understanding I have read that I am going to need mounts from RKsport to do the swap but I do not know what mounts I need can someone show me the ones that I need by posting a link I would appreciate it

So you have a complete donor car?

So you'll be pretty much swapping everything, and I mean everything, from the donor car to your car. Why didn't you either turbo your 2200, or swap in a 2.4l LD9?

Either steal the mounts out of the donor car, or buy new 2.2l ecotec mounts from the vendor of your choice......

Yes I have a complete donor car that I got for a steal and it will convert me from auto to manual. I plan on supercharging it after the swap. Yes I know everything needs to be swapped and I am willling to do it. So you are telling me that I can use the stock mounts? I don't need to get special mounts?

You do not need aftermarket mounts, but I would recommend them just as that is usually a first mod, but it is not needed.

The stock ECotec mount is a little crappy and when you supercharge it I would want a aftermarket one.



FU Tuning

I did a how to on the trans swap...look in the trans forum.

It will show you what you need to do to put a getrag in your car. You can cut the trans mounts off your donor car and clean them up and re weld them in the correct positions on your car.

As for aftermarket poly mounts id do it when you have it apart. Kind of a pain to do after its all in there and its a great upgrade when doing the upper and lower engine mounts.
