I have this noise in the bottom end of my turbo cavy and I just refreshed the bottom end could the oil pump windage tray be hitting a counter weight causing a knock.... Not the engine maybe getting parted out and my stock one swapped in..... It only has 5,000 mile on the engine.
The prepart part out list ohh and the turbo, intercooler, injectors, wideband
and boost gauge will be going to the rx 7
The complete ported head w/ ss valves
9:1 wiseco pistons
.020 block w/ pump mod
Crank
6 pad act clutch disk
Ho intake
Str manifold
Oil pump
Timing cover
Timing case....
Down pipe
3" exhaust.... Etc
if its an LD9 and you're hearing knock its most likely a rod bearing.
I choose the technology built for land speed records... not the technology built to save on emissions and gas mileage.
check it out asap. knocking sounds don't usually get better (I've tried)
dennis
of course it's an ld9 well damn I just got the engine back in the car now I gotta pull the pan
