i have a 97 cav 2.2 dirt car i cant get it to start by sitting and trying to start it but if i push start it fires right up with no problems i have replaced starter coils and module and still will not start without a pushstart anyone have an idea what the issue could be?

Whats the theft light look like? Is it flashing?

Wait, can you bypass theft lock with a popstart? Good to know...

With a manual yes...most of the time.

haha awesome... that sounds like an epic fail for GM.... hey we'll disable your car from starting... but if 3-4 guys are involved and push it, we'll let em take it, you know, for their hard work and effort pushing the car... lol

ill have to put fuses in to see if it comes on the dash it wont start 99% of the time but once and awhile it will start with no prob n run fine but turn it off and try it again it just turns ovr then a push will start it fine is there a way to reset the theft like disconnecting the battery and touching the pos and neg cables together???? really stumped here and dnt wanna push the rest of the season. could possibly replacing the cluster fix it?
