I found a 14" resonator online. Will the exhaust still be a little loud?

Im partial to the Magnaflow magnapaks. They are much longer. Get the longest one you can fit under there.

Get the longest resonator you can. It'll be a more mellow tone. Resonator-less or short resonators will give a raspier sound. That being said, pretty sure the stock resonator is only like 10 inches or something.

And all I need to make sure is that it is 2.25 in and out.

I have been trying to figure out they are installed so I can make sure I get the correct inlet and outlet sizes. The AutoZone near mg house has 18" resonator pipes for $5.18. I am going to check them out tomorrow and if they are what I am hoping, I will grab one. That will be one less piece that I have to get next year. I think it will be cool to have that hooked up to the Magnaflow cat-back system on one end and a universal Magnaflow high flow cat and Pacesetter header on the other.

no, they don't. they may have flexible exhaust pieces that are 18" long that cost $5, but that is in NO WAY a resonator. it is however a leaky, emissions failing, cop out of a way to not replace a part of your exhaust properly.

It isn't a flex pipe at all. I went there and checked out. I know what flex pipes look like. This thing is solid.

Impossible. It can not be a resonator, not for that price.

I figured that it was just a cheap resonator. No big deal. I will get the Flowmaster Hushpower 2 Shorty.
