Ok long story short my engine to a crap on me and I have already taken it out, rather than rebuilding it I found one for sale in my area but it is a 96 2.2 when mine is a 99 2.2. what will I have to do to complete this swap. I have looked through the forum but found only 98 to 95 engine swap please help I am going to look at this engine today.

Well the 96 has side feed injectors, as the 99 has normal injectors.

So you either have to wire in a injector harness for the side feed injectors, or convert it to normal (top feed injectors). I would convert the 96 to top feed injectors.

The 99 had coils on the end of the motor, and the 96 they are on the back of the motor, this can be changed, and would be easier seeing your car is a 99 the wiring harness is setup for it.

My sensor and plug on the 96 is different than your 99, but a simple wiring job can fix that.

I can't remember for sure, but I think the exhaust manifolds are different.
