I was just wondering if the ati damper will solve the problem of the gears cracking? I know it was the pulley evpanding that xaused them to shatter so would the damper solve that? Since ge damper will help out in other areas....
No, it will not. The gear design is why they crack at high RPM, 2-step use, and hitting the rev limit.
It may help reduce it, but it will not eliminate it.

Just buy the hardened gears...
They are cheaper than the ATI dampener.
Hardened gears went in mine this past year. The ATI damper wont fit without some serious frame modifications. its too big. You also have to clearance the timing cover in order to get the ATI to fit. To me that wasnt worth it and I went back to stock.
Not true Built.
I had one and ran it for a while, the only thing you have to clearance is the oil pump cover... Millerbuilt has it now.
Oil pump gears are more expensive since from what ive seen only 2 places have them smg and gm... building an 11 second car sucks hHa
No ecotecnik
The Ati is usually around 500 bucks
I got my oil pump gears directly from bates engineering.
Jeff reiland sells them for 300 and the gears were 370

It depends on which version you buy.
