Does anyone know if the Air Filter Box port to the throttle body is bigger between years and engine make from 1996 - 2005 ? Which one has the largest port and will it fit a 1996 Sunfire ? Thanks in advance !!!

The air box is the same between all years... and if you're thinking you'll gain any performance by retaining it (or trying to find a larger one?)... you got another thing coming.
The stock air box is soooo restrictive, it's specifically designed to slow and quieten down the air going in.
