Does anyone know what the valve spring seat pressure should be upgrading cams to 410 lift in my 2.4 not using the stock springs trying to figure out what the high output spring are supposed to be compared to the stock 2.4 springs ???
@ 1.437 installed height...
stock ld9 - 50-55
HO - 75-80
M45/OS crank/2.4 snout. It's nice to be injected but I love being blown!
all 2.3 springs will work. just find any 2.3 and you'll be set. sealed power sells them new too...

How do u feel about the crower springs just setting on a hardened shim on exaust side and grinding the lip off the rotator on the intake side Iv been told that a few guys are running this setup and its running good. My only concern was there's nothing to locate the spring at the seat nothing to keep it from moving side to side. Could this eventually become a problem or do u think it would be ok to run. Iv hear that If I u the 2.3 springs I'd have to get bigger lifter and bore out my 33 mm lifter bores to 35 because the spring is wider than 33mm . Some say it will Gould the lifter others say they run the 2.3 springs with the 33mm lifter I'm not sure what way to go ????
with .410 lift the 33mm lifter will gouge the 2.3 spring
So use valve spring Sealed Power vs-1562, they are 5 lbs less than the 2.3s and can use the 2.4 retainers and keepers...
Don't think the installed hight is enough with those springs for 410 lift cams
