hi guys i used to have a 89 cavalier 2.2 loved it well i want to get into dirt track racing here and ive found a few cavaliers 96-01 i looked at 3 total all have the 2.2 auto one the motor trans is out spun bearing the next i think had a blown headgasket creamy oil and is missing a few parts off the engine the 3rd he said just wont start all have rust making them a headache for the road the later 2 are at a dealer how hard is it to "hop em up i assum i should just port the head and intake and manifold cheap and easy but i havent messed with this engine in years so im asking you guys who live and breath them im leaning towards the one that needs a head gasket i changed mine on the 89 way back when and it was a easy fix cost of the bad head gasket car is asking 400 im gonna try to talk him down and let the lights behind here is the track i will race at
