Ive been looking to put a header on my 02 Z24 and it took forever to finally find one (so I thought). It turns out the one they sent me was 95-98 with EGR. I was wondering if its still possible to use it on the car. I have the non egr gasket. I dont really want to send it back for the fact ive had such a hard time finding a header anymore for this car. I was talking to a friend about it (not a j body guy), and he said remove the egr block off plate if there is one and the non egr gasket will block it off as long as the bolts are nice and tight. Is this true?

very true, if you have a 2000+ ld9 exhaust gasket it will block off the port. your all good to go man.

you can just use the non egr gasket, no need to remove the egr block off plate on the front of the head.
