Hey guys...
Our own Johnny Piparo and his sick sunfire want to come to Illinois, however, the sissy that he is has decided not to drive, so if we can maybe all chip in maybe we can cut some of the 500 dollar price tag to get him to Illinois.
Lets put our heads together cause John wants to come and he is going to be bringing the finest applesauce this side of Hiroshima!
heres my contribution.....
I dont think your car wrapped in protective tape is going to help get him here.
Thats solely only going to protect your paint.
Why does he want to come?
I used to race cars, now I race myself.

I think Ryan is suggesting to spend $3 on blue painters tape to help protect the beauty that is John's Fire
lol. That way, John doesn't need to spend more money getting paint fixed
I wish I could afford to chip some money in, but I'm leaving my Cav home partly b/c I don't have enough money to drive it down there
And also b/c I still don't have a hood latch, and don't trust the bailing wire to make that kind of a trip. I've done 30-40 mile trips @ 80+ MPH like this, but Peoria is just too far for that...

i think they should buy some tape like darkstars, a car is meant to be drivn not to b just a trailer queen, not to be a dick but if he wanted to come he will u guys dotn need to swing from him and shell out money just for him to come, he should drive the sunfire there
The car isn't a trailer queen at all. I see it on a weekly basis (and no not just in his driveway). I think the issue here is the co$t to drive vs. the co$t of flying.
you're all wrong, the issue is that from his house, its a 16 HOUR DRIVE. each way. by himself. and in a car that isn't running perfectly. so, if someone can figure that in the time span of three days he has to drive 32 freaking hours, you tell me.

- Sold my beloved J in April 2010 -
Real quick search on Expedia turned up cheapest ticket of $534 w/ 2 stops. Tampa to Peoria airport, 31st till 2nd.
OR -Tampa to O'Hare (ride down w/ me, John, & Dave) is $469, same days.
OR - Fly in tomorrow to O'Hare, hang w/ Chi-Town J's (or just me & my buddies, goin' to a club b/c it's one guys b-day tomorrow), pay $368, O'Hare, leave Sun w/ 4:10PM flight.
And that's just a few quick searches BTW. I'm not a member on Expedia or anything, so I dunno if there's member discounts. Other discount places may be cheaper as well. 5 hour flights FYI

yes i agree with u guys , didnt know where he even lived so o well
Don't even worry about it guys, the bottom line is that all things considered, I just can't make the trip, and I'll leave it at that without going into details. I was real excited about coming up there, and have been looking forward to this for a while now, and it kills me to not be able to go afterall, because I wanted to see all my cool new friends again.

I flew up for last years GMSC Bash, and when I found out there wasn't going to be one for 06, I thought this would be a good excuss to get away and see them again, and also get to hang out with the rest of you from around there. So I'm pretty bummed out to not go, but from what I hear, there might be another good excuss to go back up in a little while.

Thanks. I think my Cav is gonna stay at home anyway, even if ya do find a latch. She is just in such poor ass shape right now
lol. Last week after I finished puttin' the lambos on, I was putting the bumper back on, it pulled up the driver-side headlight too much, and broke the outer mount off
So now the light is pointing pretty high up, and way out to the left
If ya see this in time, grab the 03+ headlight brackets (the metal ones on the radiator support thing) so I don't have to make them
hehe - they would help a lot in aiming the headlights correctly, lol
