I'm posting this on behalf of JDF's newest member, Sam. He is organizing his first meet, and requested that a thread be made here. It seems only a few JDF members are able to show up, so he decided to expand it to JDF & Friends.

The alley is near the location of the last meet a few weeks ago, and Slyders is not set-in-stone yet, so if you have other idea's about where to eat around there, post it up. I'm not sure if the kid came up w/ a time yet tho.

sorry guys wont make it, last time it was way to far of a drive i dont know why u guys make them so far, make them closer to everyone so people can all go
well its a waste drivno ver a hour 4 somthin nmot cool , u guys should make it again at busse woods or somthing outside its been nice out
I agree that's the same place as last meet. Too far for us, you said he lives in Crystal Lake that's not as big of a drive for him.
i remember hearing from someone that if it isn't within 5-10 mins from someone in Chicagoland that they won't come. Guess they were right. Hell, I go all over the place for meets. From Minneapolis down to Chicagoland. You can't be accomodated all the time. If its to far for you then just don't go, don't go bitching about it and trying to get it moved so its easy for you.

What you know about Street Racing anyways? Only what Fast & Furious taught us....
SO EVERYTHING!
I am the same way i agree with bolts... last time i checked cars were ment to be driven. I have thought about hosting a orland meet, and the only thing that is stopping me from doing it is i am afraid people are gonna blow it off because it is a orland meet, and everyone thinks the orland J's are too good to drive anywhere so why should someone drive an hour here.
yes cars are meant to be drivn but wen u spend to much time and money into them and dont want it all rock chiped up for drivn a hour and a half just so whoever starts the meet can drve 5 mins from there house to get there, o well i dont need to bitch i have no need to go , its the same people everytime doing the same ol stuff and nothign new to see on peps car so its pointless so count me out and i dont get paul why u think i always want it in orland seeing i dont even live in orland, i live 15 mins from there but o well, if u wana drive ur car all over the place thats cool, not knockn u but if thats wat u wana do go for it , but im passing on drivn that far

I for one never said anything about 5-10 miles range. I didn't mind when it was at Busse woods, it's about half hour drive or so for me. That seemed pretty central for alot of folks.
^ Agreed, busse woods was not bad at all

Same people??
Did you not notice 3 different forums in the title, one of which has not been around JBO before? And there's other forums that Sam is inviting as well, those three in the title were the ones I remembered off the top of my head. As for why drive somewhere, when you go to ones that are farther away, you meet NEW people. Yea, sometimes there will be people ya already know there (ie Peoria meet I already knew Dave, John, Ken, Anthony, Carrie & Nick) but theres more new people than *old* people. There was probably 15 or so people there that I hadn't met in person before the meet this weekend. And IMO, as well as John & Dave, the Peoria meet was a hella lot cooler than pretty much all the Chicago meets (at least that I have been to). Why? #1 was NEW people that I've talked to online but not met in person. Sadly we still had the young kids that wouldn't stop revving with their damn Magnaflow rice cans
and some of the same kids we're "drifting" and crap in the parking lot - I thought Jay was gonna beat the shyte outta some of em - but not everything can be cool & mature
I did post what yall want in JDF, but I doubt he'd wanna be around people that are like that on the first meet he's organizing. Even if he has met you already
