I have a pair of directed electronics DVC 12's, they're not the bottom line, or the top, they're the middle line. I've had them maybe 2 years of gentle use, if you want to hear them...they'll slam, by all means I'm no expert, and likely not even getting the most of the setup, but you get some good solid sound out of them. You're free to hear them before purchasing. Amp is a 600w model. I have them in my oldsmobile and in a sealed enclosure. Box isn't pretty...but effective, and tight
