Byron This Weekend?

A few of us might head to byron this weekend if anyone is interested in going. going to be me, maybe a few subies, an a FAST Srt 4 so if anyone wants to go pm me. im not sure on the day or time but im thinking sunday....? not sure ill find out tonight though.

haha i didnt expect you to come haha. i figured a few locals might lol. would be sweet throw a turbo kit on it and drive it here and race and drive it home haha.

yeah i believe its saturday. i just got out of fire drill and its too late to find out. ill know more tomorrow if its friday or sat. and nick i would love to see the car in person haha, thats a heck of a drive though

Well if I had help putting it on and then someone to tune it that would be great I would be there

but I still need a few things before it can go one, just havn't figured out exactly what else I need

vince you know cordove for me is like 30 or 40 min right you live in dixon right which is like 1 1/2 hours or less

ill try i have this whole weekend off i am goin to try and get my can wet sanded and buffed tonight and i want to paint my rims tomarow cuz its still lookin a lil rough oh and i have an ln2 so its still slow as @!#$

why doesnt anybody break in their hella boost cars before they race them? and i dont mean go drive around the block 600 times.

Just because Curt and Camron can fix it if it breaks doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. They understand what the risk is, but ignore it. Both engines running fine w/ no oil blow-by and no smoking issues. From what Curt has said, break in is suggested but not always followed. He's told me stories of beating the ever living crap outta the 04 with less than 100 miles on it. Then after his build last winter, I think he went somewhere in the 150-200 miles range before sticking the pedal all the way down.

Like Jenna said...if you can afford to fix it again then you don't have to break it in. I know a few shops that build the cars "broken in" even. All your doing is letting things set in a bit. That's easy to do on a dyno. It is suggested but not a requirement.

chick on a bike ran a 7.83. it was really hot out there so im glad i didnt run. friend of mines TT v6 camaro ran but couldnt get the launch right... running slow the whole day at a 12.3-12.5. oh well she will get it next time!
