CheeseWheel450 Cruise!!

What:
-It’s a 450 mile charity cruise from Racine to Superior through
Wisconsin's countryside.

Why:
-If you love to cruise, why not? Proceeds will be donated to the
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (aka: Lou Gehrig’s Disease) Association
and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

Where:
-Meet at Racine Harbor Park (Pershing Drive and 6th Street, Racine, WI)
Stops along the way for food, pictures, and having fun!!
-Drive ends in Superior Harbor (Superior, WI)
Hotel arrangements will be up to drivers, preferably at Barker’s Island Inn
for evening dinner.

When:
Saturday, August 5th 2006
-8:00-9:00 am: Ride in, register, receive cruise info, take pictures, and
free donuts!
-9:15 am: General announcement to all
-9:30 am: Pullout, the gravy train departs towards Superior

Registration will be a $30 per car (this includes t-shirt, stickers, and
cruise info)
Extra shirts are $20

I might be interested......I live like 2 miles from where it leaves, but it's on my birthday, so idk. still gotta while to decide tho

Whats up Lance, yeah yeah i don't drive a J-Body, (I used to) but i decided to become a member anyways. Just wanted to say whats up, and hopefully peeps can make it for this. It will be a good time. and yeah tehre is about 6 months to decide, but we will keep this thread alive till then. So hope all can make it!!

How many shows are you plannin on hittin up this year?? I wanna hit A LOT more throughout the region. I've put a lot of the modz on the cav on hold w/ tuition due this week...NOT SWEET!!!

Hey man it is rough, i have to sit on the computer all day and check out what i am going to be doing next to the EVO

Then occasionally throw soem work in there.

I hear you about dropfest man , i can't wait it will be awesome, i already know of a few house parties in the making afterwards

As for shows, i am going to go to at least one a month. A big one i plan on hittin' up is the Indy Truck Bash, I hear it makes dropfest look like crap. TONS and TONS of cars, and parties afterwards. that is a for sure, here the home page:

its a haul, but hey i figure i am going to actually drive my car this year and put soem miles on it. I had a reality check, of spending 30K on a car to let it sit in the garage, umm no time to drive

I may take a bike up instead of the EVO i am not sure yet, if the bike thing goes thru, and you bring soem bikes, i will for sure bring the g/f's bike then.

900 miles / 25 mpg = 36 gallons of gas

36 gallons * $2.69 / gallon = ~$100

You'd be better off to donate the money and stay home

Well you might as well spend your money you can't be buried with it, no matter what you do it costs money man, its soemthing fun, but thanks for the math equation

But you forgot one, Hotel room- prob. 60-80 for a nite, but split it with 3 other people say 20 bucks a person, plus i don't know where you are getting gas but its only 2.32 by me.

Don't mean to be rude, but if someone can't save a 100 bucks in 6 months there is a problem. also you don't have to go to start and back to finish. you can meet up anywhere is easiest for you, and go home the same way. say if you live in btwn. racine and superior theres 225 miles, 500 round trip, 18 gallons of gas @ 2.69/gal = $50.00

unless you are talking about putting premium in, then i catch your drift.

GAS IS ONLY 2.19 OVER HERE!!!! ..and 25mpg?? Damn that sux, i get on ave. about 33/34!!??

...plus its sweet as hell cruisin' w/ a huge pack of sweet ridez....if you don't enjoy that, then ur just nOt a sweet car peep~

All I was saying, is if it's really for the cause (Lou Gehrig's) sending the gas money would be better than the drive. But, I'm not a show car guy, they are meant to drive (so get off my back).

~~Anyways enough about the gas prices, they are what they are, and we are going to pay it no matter what. this is just like the title states, "All about Cruising" its a lot more fun, consider it a road trip with some friends, and some new scenery to see. and people to meet. So back on topic, me and lance will keep this thread alive until the day of i am sure, and i am sure we will get more people interested in it when it comes closer to crunch time. a evo is not a dsm..... mine is so first gen the motor was made by AMC, dodge tranny, forged stock internals.

im restoring it slowly. a project car
