Hey,
about a week ago i was into an accident, a guy decided to run the red light and swipe the front of my car. Now i need to get this fixed, looks like on a couple of quotes i received there will need to be a replaced front bumper, all the lights up front left, hood repaired, and the fenders repaired, that's preventing my passenger door to be open....Possible some frame straightening...
my question is can anyone recommend a body shop in the GTA(i am in Brampton, on) that have proven themselves to you to do a good job?
the last accident my g/f had in the car we took it to the dealer, BAD mistake, but we wont go there...

how ever, if someone ran the light they besat be paying, so go to the most expensive shop

Birchmount Collision, Birchmount north of Eglinton. Replaced the door and matched the paint perfectly on my wife's car after she got t-boned by a jerk running a red light.

409 collsion the best shop ever....I almost totaled my sunfire when it was thrown to the opposite lane on a rainy day. I thought it would be a write off but they repaired it with a $14000 repair bill. Been 2 yrs and havn't had a single problem. If you can tell it was in an accident I'll pay you. Remember you pay for what you get-do it right the first time.
looks like JeetPal(actual name) that ran the red light, might be screwing me over, by changing his story on his police report.......
insurance said if he does they dont investigate, they just put down 50% fault for each, causing premiums to rise...wtf!!!
mine may be going up since Jeetpal, decides to run the red???
no witnesses stopped, ??!!
so i am pretty much a sitting duck, while all this goes on...
the first body shop he took me to you could clearly see this was his buddy, who asked him what happened , he said he ran the red, now his buddy obviously wont help me with writing it down...I havent seen his police report yet, but he doens't return any calls, and he was a week before he did out the report...
really really really pissing me off!!
any help/advise?

I decided to take this to Kennedy Auto on Rutherford......
not pleased with the results at all...
1. first thing i noticed is they replaced the bumper lights with an aftermarket, and left one stock, so now I have a stock color one and a silver looking one which would look cool if they did both.
2. Left the bulb out of this same socket, for the bumper lights.
3. Did not straighten up frame of the car, i look at the front of the car, on the left side i can see approx 3 " of tire thread, when i look on the other side of the car , i see maybe 1/2"(this is the same way i dropped it off-no change in this)
4. Since they didn't do the straightening, there is different hood gaps /headlight gaps to the hood, down each side of the hood, one side is approx 1/2 " the other side is more like 3/4"(big difference when you can almost look at the engine)
5.the right headlight shines about 2 ' higher than the other one from a wall distance of about 5 '.
that is the obvious stuff right now, makes me wonder how much they actually did that you cant see??!!!
Highly Not recommend these guys!
I called them, they were nice enough to ask me to bring it in for a look, I will see how this goes today..

Any bodyshop you go to... you have to harrass and nit-pick everything. Otherwise, they assume you won't give a crap as long as you get it back with all the lights and paint it had on before the collision.

Wow, @!#$ty job indeed, I almost bought a 2001 z24 that was a write-off, the body mechanic who fixed it did a near perfect job on it, he was near Toryork drive around Woodbridge and Toronto.... shady guy though, he lied to me about the wirteoff and tried to sell it, I refused buying it once the carfax gave me the details. (only problems were a mis match on the fender bumper gaurd peice to the drivers door peice and the trunk was slightly lifted crooked (horizon wise), easy adjustable fix though on both.
D&H here in Orangeville does solid work, they did a fine job @ a fair price. (on my old 96 z22) You get what you pay for really. I had this shop reccomended to me from my mechanics.
