looking for shops in Ottawa

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a contract in Ottawa for about 3 months. I come from a smaller town in Atlantic Canada, and there isn't much selection for mod/custom car shops. I brought my 2000 Z24 with me and was wondering what a bigger city might have for shops.

Anyone here from Ottawa? Have any recommendations? Not really sure what I want to do, but I was thinking of some custom exhaust work to start.

Thanks.

wow, this post has been here for a half hour and nobody's told him to go to the regional forums or locked it...i'll be damned.

you'll get a lot better response if you go to your regional forum...

moderators will probably move this there anyways.

GO PATS!!!

Sorry, didn't realize this. In that case, sorry for the double-post. I was wondering why I couldn't find the first one... It was only on this second one that I noticed the "Moved" link back in the General forum.

My other post can be locked or deleted..

Thanks.

And after some searching I found a thread discussing this exact thing.. Geez, I should have learned this by now...

Sorry guys.

P.S. The other topic mentions that some people meet at the Cdn Tire on Bank/Herron. That still happening?

Where in Atlantic Canada are you from?

I'm from Halifax, NS.

Welcome to Ontario.

Thanks. I really like Ontario overall, and Ottawa is a freakin' beautiful city.

I'm from Saint John, New Brunswick actually. Been to Halifax quite a few times for work though.

For exhaust work...accept no substitute..Dan's Muffler Shop is the ONLY name that should be put into your head. Ask anyone from this area...his work is the best.

Awesome, that's what I heard.

I searched for it on Google Maps, and found a match in Metcalfe, Ontario (on 7867 Victoria Street). Is that the one?

Thanks.

I think they only do now in the summer to late fall.. after the white stuff hits, no-one takes their cars out to play

Near Alta-Bank, there's a place called Goldwing auto, there's PEARL Autocare and a few other places. I haven't had my cars tuned in a dogs age, but you can try Gizmo's.
