01 SF GT parts car -who needs stuff?
Friday, December 23, 2005 12:00 PM
Ok here's the deal.

Myself and Bill (LB24) have come across a rather sweet deal too good to pass up.

2001 Pontiac Sunfire GT in white, 5-speed. 12,xxxkm. Yes, that's right, 12xxx, not 120,xxx.

Front end damage, car is written off, being sold for parts. Engine has already been sold (including flywheel, clutch, alternator and A/C compressor), so please tender no offers for it. The interior is mint, dark grey colour. Airbags both deployed. Radiator, condenser and other A/C components not available.

Parts NOT availabe (already spoken for) as follows:

-Rear brake assembly (drums/shoes/cylinders)
-Front strut mounts
-Front brake pads/rotors
-Front spindles
-Shifter cables
-Center console
-Clutch master cylinder/slave cylinder/throw-out bearing
-Seats are pending, but for now not available.
-Exhaust from catalytic back (will have to cut front pipe, great idea for someone with a leaking 3-bolt flange)

The car will be stored in my garage for a period of 1-2 weeks, I will let everyone know when the car arrives and is available to be pillaged. Pricing will be quite lenient, make us an offer. For a lower price, you can remove the parts yourself, so bring tools!

Some of the available parts include:

-16" Sunfire GT rims and Goodyear tires with only 12,xxxkm, so essentially brand new.
-Complete interior including carpeting and headliner, but unsure if ar has sunroof, was buried under a foot of snow, couldn't tell (minus center console and front seats and door skins which are sold)
-Doors
-Non-power mirrors
-Side skirts
-Rear bumper
-Rear trunk lid (w/ GT spoiler) - will separate filler panel
-Instrument cluster
-BCM
-Front sway bar with all links (great upgrade for anyone without one)
-Lower control arms w/ almost new bushings
-Steering rack
-P/S pump
-Brake master cylinder and ABS module
-Upper engine mount
-Both trans mounts
-M86 Getrag 5-spd Transmission (NOTE! as mentioned above, slave/throw-out bearing NOT available. Linkage actuator assembly may also NOT be available, pending) - clutch not included
-Stock front and rear struts and springs (minus mounts)
-Complete rear axle assembly (minus brake components)
-Heater core and A/C evaporator core
-Steering wheel (minus airbag) and column - unsure if tilt
-Stock stereo (unsure of what model - CD/tape/Monsoon?) and speakers
-Tails
-Fuel tank (plastic)
-Fuel pump
-Evaporator canister
-Spare tire/jack
-Trunk carpeting

This list is subject to change upon further inspection of vehicle when it arrives here.

If there's something you need and it's not listed, please ask through PM of myself, or the following contact info:

Darren - Send email to ebayfreak1979@hotmail.com
Bill - send email to billt169@yahoo.com

First come first serve!!

STOLEN has first dibs on rims. Due to the fact the tires are so new, asking price is $500. Do not know at this time whether any suffered damage (pretty sure all are fine) will let you know upon further inspection. Brian Bell you will have 2nd chance. Car will be located in the north Toronto area (Willowdale).

Short hand - Complete HVAC panel $50.

For future reference please use contact info in original post, and/or add me to MSN billt169@hotmail.com Please do not post further inquiries in this thread.

Update/bump.

I got the car towed to Darren's last night, and with a lot of help from him and Luis (whom we owe a Corsica tail light haha, anyone got a spare?!?) we pushed the car into the garage. It's just about ready to be torn apart!

To the person interested in the wheels/tires: One rim has minor curbage, we'll take a picture to show the damage.

To the person interested in the HVAC panel: It appears to be exactly the same as the Cavalier one, so odds are it is in fact a straight swap.

Wow to that^^

Do you still have the large rear passanger side plastic trim that surrounds the side rear window? It has a arm rest for your right arm/elbow.
Will you ship and how much for the trim?

Thanks.
