Im currently in the process of buying a newer pick up truck (2003 Ford Ranger - Chevy S-10) and will be purchasing something withing the next month or 2. I will be selling my 1997 Cavalier. Body wise its in pretty good shape with some rust just behind the drivers door and underneath and some small rust bubbles on the passenger side front fender but thats about it. Good Interior .. just has the usual wear of a 210K car but pretty dirty. now ... engine wise is were the problems are. it will have about 210K at the time of sale and it will need work. The way I see it tho is if your mechanically inclined it should be a breeze and not very expensive to get certified and on the road if so inclined but it will definitly need a good tune up. In my opinion it would be a great parts car or donor car for front end conversion (plus you get the motor, trans. and everything else) Wasnt planning on selling it right away but if someone wants to come see it and offers a decent price Id consider getting rid of it right now. I just want to see if anyone would actually be interested in it because if it doesnt sell I'll just end up driving it up to my parents house in Sudbury and let it rot in there yard cuz I live in an apt. building and only have 1 parking spot. Id hate to see it rot because its still in pretty good shape body wise and I see alot of J-bodys around and Im sure someone needs a parts car. oh sorry forgot to mention .... i will NOT part it out .. the car comes as a whole... I only have 1 parking spot in my building and it will be taken up by whatever I buy.. so its all or nothin ...
