anyone ever deal with repodepo?

Hey, Ive been looking into buying a car from repodepo however ive got some doubts about that place. I took a look there once and almost all of the cars there look dirty/almost abused. I'm just thinking to myself if someone doesn't care about there car that much and can't afford the payment, how can they afford/care about the maitanance? Plus you can't even test drive the car.

What are ur experiences with repodepo? Good or BAD

i looked a some repodepo cars before. there hit and miss, like you said most look dirty/abused. and many of them are if i knew my car was getting repossessed id beat the hell out of it too. on the dirty side, these cars sit in a dirt lot so the exterior will be really dirty (they look worse in the pics) also they are moved around by the guys who work there and they don't care they just get in and drive. some of that mess is caused by repodepo.

the worst part IMO is the no test drive, like you said. also there is no warranty at all. you buy it and its a heap tough luck your stuck with it. its hard the price is good but no one knows whats wrong with them. most repo cars are damaged when there seized. could just be minor body, or it could need a complete drive train, susp and rear axle. of course there are some cars there that are in great shape but its hard to tell.

i have see repo cars at work, much of the time there is hidden damage that only shows up when we have the car half stripped.

my suggestion is to avoid there cars if your just looking for a daily driver, if your looking for a project car they seem like they would be a good choice. i think for the extra cash its worth getting something from a dealer or private sale. at least you know where the car has been.

above all if you go to look at the cars there. take your trusted mechanic with you he will have a good idea if the car ok or scrap.

im not trying to deter you from buying a car from them. im just saying be careful what you buy there, look at it as buying a wrecked car, you can never know 100% whats wrong with it.

just my 2 cents.

hey yah i agree with the hit and miss ....... but u do get the key and start the car in the lost when u put down an offer .... i bought my 97 Z24 from there and all i had to replace was my water pump.... 300 bucks and i went 3 yrs without any problems!!

my buddy has bought 3 cars from there and no probs with them.... i'd tell u to put in a offer for the car and if u do get the highest price then u get the key and u can go start the car let it run move it up and down the lot and then u do have the choice of takin the car or backin away from the sale....so theres NO harm in puttin an offer down and then backin away .... so yah i'd say go and try ur luck
