Friday, January 18, 2008 9:19 PM
Im from Sudbury Ontario and there are no Dyno shops up here

Im going to venture to Toronto as thats where the guy that tunes my car is anyways

Can someone recommend a good dyno shop i can go to have him re tune my car as i wanna dial it in without having to get tickets.

Anyone know the rates for such shop?

Thanks

I found a place in Oakville

They charge

110 bones/hr for Dyno

160 bone/hr for Dyno with Wideband useage

250 bones/hr for Dyno and they tune

Let me know and ill look up the email for you

i will keep you up to date on the dyno day. if you contact a member on here called Shane Hewitt, he may be present to do tuning and such that day.

contact shane anyways, he may be able to street tune it for you. im pretty sure he has orderd his wideband sensor, so it should be here some time soon.

and being that yours is a 01, he should be able to pull calculated torque as a PID from your ECU, thus giving you crank measured tq and hp.

Thats what I was gonna say. They are ok with Cobalts and other Eco vehicles, but completely lost when it comes to 2.4 vehicles for some reason. They spent days tuning Cliffs car and he ended up going back to the stock GM SC tune because he was running pig rich and the car would stall whenever he came to a stop.

I'm from Sudz too. Sucks not having a dyno in town eh? Like three performance shops, none of them who can actually do any better then "guess-tune" on carbs...
