I posted this in the exterior section but I dunno how often the locals check that section so ... with that being said ... Just incase ...
Alright as noob as it is and frustrating as it is, short of the obvious bolts and gm plastic clips and the 2 wheel well screws, what the hell is holding the rear bumper on??? Tryin to take mine off today to put the new one on, and short of comparing the 2 hole wise the damn thing won't come off as if something else is holding it lol so what the hell??? lol Quick response preferred, gotta work tonight and really dont wanna put it back together unsuccessful lol

Did you pull the carpet back on the inside of the trunk? There are 2 bolts along the sides of the trunk that hold it on, (maybe 10mm?) aswell as 2 INSIDE the wheel well. The 2 inside the wheelwell are what is holding the clips on, best to take those off, and the ones inthe trunk, then the clips, and a few underneath, on the bumper support.

Teri you forgot the 2 bolts under the tail lights 1 on each side
2 in the wheel well and 2 inside teh trunk
maybe push pins on the bottom along the back
Also
There are 2 little pieces of plastic one on each side between where the bolts go down inside the trunk. Hard to explain but once you loosen the 2 bolts inside the truck you should be able to pull on the bumper and see what i mean from the outside.
Also once you have all the bolts removed you will have to pull up on the center at the top of the bumper to get the lip over the crush guard.
Nah greg I got 'em all lol
the plastic pieces said above were the problem. All fixed all switched
Thanks, overly it took way too long to do, but not bad for doin it alone for the first time lol
