coil conversion????

just a question as im currently in the middle of modifying my ignition system on my 2.2L cavalier. i am wonderig if its able to convert from the twin gm tower coils to a mitsubishi/neon 4 tower coil and what it would take to make this modifacation happen if can be done thx

You need to learn how to search. I'm not trying to be a dick but it literally took me 15 seconds to type and click.

To the OP, I'm not sure if there is a way, best is to search around the performance forum, or ask in there. I'm not really sure if it'll help any though.

I know we can do the Neon swap on our 2.4 LD9s so im sure there is a way to do it on the 2.2

Wait, are you doing this on a 2.2 OHV?

You want to go from 2 coils (2 wires per coil) to 4 coils, (1 wire per coil) ..?

Is that the question?

I have a msd system all ready to go made from the neon swap for the 2.4L. I'd be willing to part with it.

i have a 96 2.2L pushrod engine not the ohv. and im going from the standard 2 coils 2 wire per coil and want to convert it to a neon/mitsubishi coil and need the hook ups from it.

the pushrod is the OHV.
