Everything about this car.
The good:
Car runs like new (no exageration), it's solid, great condition in and out, paint is more lustrous than new (I polish it), I always warm up the engine before driving, especially in the winter (remote starter...), never over run the oil in the engine.
The bad: Needs rear strut mounts replaced. ($85 for parts $120 for labour. I priced it.) It drives fine. Just makes a rattle over bumps sometimes.
Asking price is $4400. It is negotiable. I can sell the car for less w/ stock rims and tires (excellent shape) if you feel the price is too high.

Proof/reasoning of this? (actually want to know as i'm trying to sway someone away from getting an auto start but they require facts over hearsay)
I am positive Blown knows more than I but I thought it had to do with the fact that idiling does not help the oil circulate nearly as well as light loads do. Hence why you only need to let your car idle for a minute before you drive away. Then you just drive easily until normal op. temps. are reached. I could be wrong but I thought that is what I have read. Someone with more knowledge can come here and say more tho.

There are opinions and stats for both sides on warming up engine at idle.
I am not saying one side is right or the other, but for every example,therory or fact you can come up with for either side, some one can come up with one that refutes/disputes it.

Problem with the remote starts is the starter stays engaged for a fraction of time after the engine starts

When you idle a cold engine, the ECU is running an open loop fuel-rich program, dumping loads of gas into the cylinders. This excess fuel washes the oil off the cylidner walls, which causes more ring wear in the bores. This also means more unburned fuel ends up in the catalytic converter, and its no secret those expensive-to-replace pieces don't like being abused like that. Down the line that can/will cause issues on emissions tests, for those subject to them. Refute/dispute at your leisure.
It's been proven time and again that the best way to warm up the engine is to actually drive the car, just don't beat the piss out of it until it's up to operating temps. Even on the coldest of cold days, the most you need to let it idle for is 60 seconds. So what if it's not toasty warm when you get in, you live in a cold country, suck it up! A block heater helps a lot more, and does a lot less damage than a remote starter. And don't even get me started on trying to trace down issues I've run into with cars that have (or previously had) these things, they're wiring nightmares.
