hey guys i have a type j bumper and i was wonderin if i had to take off the bumper absorber or if there wasa way i could keep the bumperabsorber on the car with the type j rear bumper.. it came off a buddys 99 cavy, had some cracks but they are fixed now.. I have an 01 Cavy.. any input would be great!
trim to fit is the only way of keeping the impact absorber.
I used large side cutters on mine.
^^^ he's right. The crush guard needs to be trimmed back quite a bit or you will get the infamous type-j bumper wave. I used a saws all.
