Want to just sell the trans?
That is a crazy price. To me the motor looks a little used.
You can buy a wrecked car whole for around $1,000 if you look.

Way too much money for that .. IMO .. it looks new to me unless they painted the pulleys black ... they dont look like they have had a belt ran on them..

A new engine and trans is way more than 2000.
The compressor is about 300 new.
I will sell the trans separate, make offer. 300 is a joke for a new transmission. Go to any shop and they will laugh you out of the building. That is why I hate J body people. They have no idea what stuff costs. Go price a new transmission at a dealer.
There is no way you can get a low milage take out for 1000. Or even the car unless it has over 60K miles on it and it is a stripped shell.
2000 is not a high price for everything you are getting in this auction. Can you seriously get just a new motor for that cost? Then the fuel lines, intake, MAF, clutch, flywheel, ect.....
It is all new too.
I know the valve cover doesn't look nice but there is no wear on any of the parts. It would just polish up. Look at the heat shield. It has never been ran.
The clutch is new. The starter is new. The combustion chambers have no use what so ever.
Neither the motor or trans have been installed or used.

I purchased a wrecked cavalier, not stripped for roughly $1200. Car ran. Motor, tranny, engine bay harness, inside wiring harness, all of it. Also, "not stripped" means the WHOLE car. I didn't get a bumper or hood simply because it was hit in the front. Oh yea, the car only had 6200 miles on it. I have 3 witness. 2 of them have posted in this topic.
Just another post to show you have no clue what your doing. I am sure the engine is that much from GM. They are a bunch of overpriced monkey's anyway.

What does a birth cetificate or passport have to do with the bid information saying Arkansas. Besides, like I'm supposed know or care what your passport or birth certificate says?
I work at a dealership. I can get a eco trans with 7k miles on it for $300.00.
Actually, I would like t see pictures just to see what condition the car was in.

2000 isn't an insane price for a "new" engine and transmission. It may be a little high priced if there is no warranty on it. You have to remember that used stuff is highly discounted. I wouldn't say that it is a great deal, but I wouldn't call it a complete rip off either.
Davide, I helped lemon do the swap and there were only two parts damaged: transmission mount and radiator
I will say for a brand new through GM price 2K is not that bad. Since you are not buying it form GM, it sure is not a good price. You have not clue what you really are buying.
As for Lemon's motor swap and the car he bought. Why does it matter what shape it was in?? He paid less and got way more than your selling.
To do a ecotec swap buying a wreck car is the best option. A local guy just bought one for $1070.00. 2004 5 speed. As with Lemon's car the motor, tranny, all wiring (inside and out), gas tank, fuel lines are all being swapped. And some of the interior.
At least with used engines and transmissions at a salvage yard; you get a 6 month or 1 year warranty if it.
Checked the other regional forums? We are not the only ones who think it's high priced.
Obviously so does people on ebay or there would be a bid by now.

I got my tranny new from the dealer only difference it was completely brand new with 100K warranty on it. and i got it for $1900 I also agree it is to high. We know how much it costs. I found a good getrag tranny under 12K for $900.00

I sell mostly to F body. They actually buy stuff.
