I accepted a job offer today that will have me moving to Tampa somewhere between the end of August to the middle of September. I'll know dates for sure next week.

My job will be located on University Center Drive, so if anyone can give me some good reccommendation on places to live around this part of town (or tell me to stay away if need be), I'd appreciate it.

Also, if anyone around the area is a bowler, my first act upon moving to Tampa is to get my ass signed up for a league. So if anyone is looking for a partner, or if anyone wants to join me, let me know.

yeah that is around campus but that does not mean he has to live there --- might want to look in new tampa, land o lakes, wesley chapel, or brandon --- all are nicer areas and easy to get to your place of employment

Around USF isn't very nice, agreed, however New Tampa is a wonderful area. Speaking of Tampa, I haven't really met anyone from this area, so when/where are there meets around here?

i live in new Tampa.. just off of cross creek. i would like to get a meet going for the Tampa j's or at least get a track meet!

If you don't mind me asking...what type of job did you get? I think I remember you talking about hunting for a job for awhile without much luck (though it easily could have been someone else that mentioned it awhile back).

Mikey: I ended up going with an auditing job.

The main reason I had trouble before was that I wasn't opening myself up to a lot of opportunities. I was pretty narrow minded when I was searching, and I was really trying to stay with Home Depot but move on up into the corporate sector. After months of trying without much luck, I decided I wanted to focus on my career, regardless of where I was at.

Also, in case anyone is nervous about job interviews, I highly recommend the Job Interviews for Dummies book. I bought it before the big interview with this company, and I don't think I could have pulled the interview off without it.

I also try to make it to the TR meet on Monday at Sonic but I now have school and a job so that one is doubtful
