ok guys/girls here is the situation. we scheduled the date of the meet without fully looking into the track. the problem is the track is closed the day we wanted to have the track day. so now we have a few options.
#1- we can have track day on friday night
OCTOBER 21st from 8pm till 1am. they have "Club 1320" what it is is street style heads up grudge racing. NO SLIPS and its not a standard light its a red to green light to simulate street racing. its very fun and there is usually alot of cars out there. if we choose this then we can have the picnic on sat. October 22nd
#2- the next option is the have the track day on sat. morning
OCTOBER 22nd from 10am till 3pm. then we could all hang out afterwards and then have the picnic on sunday afternoon. one thing about having track day on this day is it will be a little warmer but you do get slips on this day. but the track wont be as crowded there will be more V8 type guys.
#3- we could have track day on Sat.
OCTOBER 29th from 10am till 3pm. and we could have the picnic on sunday the 30th. dont forget halloween is the 31st.
so these are our options boys and girls
IM GOING TO SAY WE NEED TO HAVE A FINAL ANSWER BY AUGUST 30TH. any questions post them here. once we decied on this we will get all other info. so go ahead and post your answer here and we will get this set. sorry for the delay in info but i thought dan was going to post this but hes been busy as have i. so lets gitter dun..lol and we will have a great meet.
lucky you Alexis the track is only like 25 mins from your school.
pimp ass, i guess moving was a good thing lol
listening, I already put in my vacation time. hope I can change it.
Doh!!!! forgot to vote, option one is good that way people that are working have a chance to get there and plenty of time to get home before the start of the work week
.
personally, i'm partial to option #3........
reasoning is as follows:
a) from what i understand.... this is suposed to be a FUN, thing....
b) suposedlly... CAV's, SUN's and from what i hear a neon or two.....
c) If its for fun, why race for slips?
d) why get the piece of **** fords involved, and 6'es or 8's
c) for those that work mon-fri jobs, works out perfect
d) i'm sure NE1 could get the weekend off BEFORE haloween
e) race sat, play sun, who could ask for more?
f) i dunno.... i had a train of thought going....
g) i just hope hotel prices aren't goimg to be outrageous before halloween....
well...... whatever.......... i'll go no matter what... just wanted to state my personal opinion, not that it counts or anything, but there it was.......
wait for it... wait for it... NOW GO!! ---> '02 LS Sport <---

i remember now my thought.....
but then again, #1 wouldn't be bad either, as long as "1320" aren't dicks...... if we, per say, "intrude" their club meet, or would they be OK if we showed up, and how it was mentioned earlier by not bringing stupid drama crap..... "he said, she said B.... S....."
like i said, as long as its a fun, great time......
hey maybe if "1320" is good ppls, they join us at the park also?
do you know anything or anyone from that club? i mean, the type of ppl, kind of cars,....
cute girls (guys, for the female J-body enthusiast) ?
(sorry, had to throw that one in)
wait for it... wait for it... NOW GO!! ---> '02 LS Sport <---

club 1320 isnt a car club. thats what they call the event on friday nights... club as in night club. and 1320 as in the distance of the 1/4 mile in feet. there are usualy alot more compacts at 1320. there is always v8s out there. sat morning there will be far fewer compacts to race and alot more v8s.
as for slips.. what taht means is your time slip not your pink slip. club 1320 they dont give you your time slip at hte end but they do post times on the board so if soemone watches for you you cna get your time. on sat morning you actually get a little printout of your time, with your 1/8 time 60' time 1/4 mile time, speed and so on.
one thing to keep in mind is club 1320 dosent start till 8pm and thats just when the gates open so you could leave home after work and still get there.
anyother questions or comments leave them here...
Option 1 or 3 will do good for me, preferably #1 cause I MIGHT still have classes on Halloween but I dont know yet.

RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...

sorry i did not do the post casey but I will not have internet access till thursday
(I am at a freinds house right now)
I'm game for any of them. That tiem of year racing in the day is not a bad thing. I would say I would be a little more towards 2 or 3. This would allow more of our guys to get down, or up there and be there for racing.
Casey, I read a post by Yasmin saying at the 1320 events they run the normal set-up until 11pm, after that you can pay a $1 and still get a slip. Can you confirm?
Yea I will confirm!! lol
I was just to mention that to Casey, after 11pm when they Stop with the slips you can buy them for like $1 just pre-pay to the guy that does the light before you go.
I just did it this past Friday.
See the only thing that SUCKS about 1320 is that they have NO water in the box since they don't want people avoiding it and what not and causing a mess.
I don't see how this is going to affect anyone but you and me John but I thought I would tell you about that little suckey deal.
Because of them shananigans I have a nice gash in my brand new slick, for dry ripping them.
That means I have to get a helmet by then, cause THAT track won't let me run anymore without one, so from now on I will be hitting Sunshine 1/8th mile.
But John if you wanna try your luck on my slick you are more than welcome to, put the smack down one more time on that N/A record.

thanks for the offer. I do not think my stock clutch would like that too much. I will be taking a shot for the N/A record again on my drag radials. Can I top a 14.83?? Hmmmm Lets find out.
Well I guess we will have to see.
And I might take the Turbo off and try to smack the N/A record on the slicks.Naaaaw
I'll leave that to you.
