Took a job offer in Jacksonville, FL....
Wednesday, March 15, 2006 5:56 PM
pending my graduation from college I have a job in Jacksonville, FL.

Few questions about this town/state

- where should I live at, I plan to live here for a while, a long time, maybe for life. What is a good city to settle down in. Like in Jacksonville, or right outside it? Basically a good place to raise a family, with low crime and good schools and all.

- is it true FL has no state income tax
- does Florida have tolls roads/ and emission testing

- is Jacksonville an expensive place to live, making $40,000 my first year at my job

thanks for any advice or input anyone can give

- 2004 Cavalier - 124k, owned since new

For the jacksonville area no tolls. No emissions either. Jacksonville is probably one of the cheaper places in fl to live. If it was me to raise a family probably middleburg area (but dependind on where your job is it could be a drive. Good area for the most part. We have a good group of J's in jacksonville.

Orange Park being the closest.... If your into the Beach life then go to south Jax Bch, and look there But your pockets will need to be deep
