Okay so it has me merge to I77 south, then get off to 76 West, then 277 East, only to get back on 77 South.
Why is that for?
Does anyone know if I just stay on I77 the first time and keep going it will be okay.

It's probably either a short-cut, shorter in distance, or a detour. there's one like that thru atl and dc. most likely its a detour away from the city to help avoid traffic n such.

or you could stay on I-75 south to Lexington and then go southeast on I-64 / I-77
its been awhile since i was home so I get a little fuzzy, but it seems right . good luck
from the looks of this pic they are just sending you around Akron
just stay on 77.....you will be fine aslong as you come through late at night or early morning.....
