verizon has a deal going on right now... buy one for 50, get one free. i believe this only applies if you are startign a new plan or upgrading your existing phone.
To add on to Andy's comment, the unlocked phones are GSM only, and will only work with providers that use a SIM card.
Andy: On my V3x I gave up on modding it, it's not cool anymore.
yeah, i haven't done much to mine recently. just added a skin and a new ringtone
