Someone at work brought a GM show to my attention - October 6th at some "Springs" place and was wondering if you guys were gonna be checking it out. Been looking for a reason to head north so maybe if you guys are gonna go we'll take a trip up there. I'll try and find the info on it the guy gave me just incase you guys do not know what the hell i'm talking about...

I'm up for it .. We are going to talk it over at the next monthly meet and see who all is going to be there ..
Just think of it as a Fall Jbody meet .. If we all could go to this meet together ,It would show you what Our Jbody / GM meet could turn into in time with other cars at our meet..

I'm pretty sure that show is going to have a lot of old vettes, camaros, and the like - Just a heads up.
Should be a good show - can't turn down seeing nice muscle cars

You are correct. There will be lots of old cars. That is cool I love old cars. Still the way the classes are set-up we should still be in a class with similar cars to us. Most of the old hot rods have classes. It is a free car show and you get into Silver Springs for free. Sounds like a nice day.

Well, as far as im concerned ive seen enough stock muscle cars in my day, and unless they are racing, im not interested. A stock restored 69 camaro is pretty boring when its parked. Id rather go where theres a variety of makes and models and styles. If it was a true rod and custom show that would be another story.
As far as participating in a show...my car is pretty basic and nothing to show off. Also i hate the heat and i see no point in sitting in 95+ degree sun to show a car thats nothing special and will get little interest, never mind having the chance to win anything.
I spent 5 or 6 years doing the J thing in shows and track nights and such....im just not interested in it anymore.

i'm really torn between the two...
I talked to Derek with NPD yesterday and made my reservations . He told me they have about 500 cars signed up, so this should be a nice show ,

Also.. Ronin, you're right. Stock restored muscle can be boring after a while. But Ocala has ALOT of beefed up muscle and street rods. I cant say much for you bein bored of the car show scene, but I've been goin to car shows for a long time too.. I guess I just havent got sick of it yet. I cant wait for this show. Hope to see more than just a couple CFJ's tho...
