It is not a fix for wheel hop. With your power I expect you not to have wheel hop, but at the track you are going to have traction issues. I know Viper did. And it was one wheel spinning. The main thing this does is make both tires work together. In doing this you get better traction, which can also help with wheel hop.

He is correct and I would like to add some more.
LSD is best used if you're in a road course track where you'll lots of left and right transitions and meet with bends or even when making that right turn on a city street. When you have a open diff and exiting a corner quick in order to reduce your times, your inside tire wheel will likely spin, especially if you have good low end-torque. LSD will limit the spinning wheel to a min while still maintaining appropriate steering control. LSD will work on a straight line (ONLY) if one wheel is spinning (i.e. uneven pavement or wet tire), if both wheels are spinning, LSD will be deemed useless.
LSD is an asset ESPECIALLY on a FWD where the laws of physics is not favorable to that design.

lol... i snapped an axle kuz i 4got i had a small tear in the cv boot and over a period of about a month, all the grease inside, exited its home and cause me 2 snap the axle... well really the axle housing that butts up against the tranny...
