NOPI Motorsports
Cancels Summer and Fall
events for 2008
July 16, 2008
It is with great regret that NOPI Motorsports, LLC has suspended operations for the summer and fall 2008. This will include NOPI Drag Racing Series, NOPI Drift Series and the NOPI NATIONALS Motorsports Supershow. The company is undergoing an organizational restructuring in light of severe adverse affects of a disappointing spring season. The economy and unfavorable weather resulted in underperformance of all spring events. Michael Meyers, president of NOPI Motorsports, reports that NOPI Motorsports is working with its clients and sponsors to minimize the uncertainty going forward. This is a reflection of the economic times in which we currently live. The countrywide economic and industry downturn has caused a slowdown and tightening of belts. This affects everyone and companies, at all levels, and NOPI Motorsports is no different.
We understand the position this puts everyone in and we hope you can find in your heart to work with us through this terrible time. All of you are our friends and we have felt for many years that we were all a big family.
NOPI Motorsports hates this more than anyone as the many years of hard work, tradition and an industry we helped to shape would come to this.
Please watch nopi.com for future announcements.

We just couldn’t let everyone down, the show at the speedway has grown to be one of the largest of it’s kind in the world”, J.Bird was quoted as saying earlier today. The Supershow will have much of the same look and feel as in years gone by, with thousands of show cars and trucks in the car show, a gigantic burn out contest, tons of industry vendors and booths, live music from top artists, and of course a swimsuit competition which will include all those beautiful girls you’ve come to expect whenever J.Bird hits a motorsports stage! The one new element the show will include for 2008 will be drag racing!
Hopefully this will be just as good as the Nationals of the past if not better.
idk bout this but i will keep a look out at this

Well I've missed almost every other car show around here this year so I'm gonna try to go to this. Hopefully it'll be worth the drive.
so when is the "not nopi" scheduled for? i went last year and it was freakin awesome, but i never really found the jbodys, so hopefully i can find some this year.
i heard they claimed banckruptcy

thats just a rumor, what it is money and the track for weekend is some crazy cost and alot of sponsors backed out. If they went banchruptcy then you would see them dieing off.

GEAIGIA INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CENTER - I N D O O R S
no AMS event this year
Wow, you guys sure know how to blog! The rumor mill in this industry is unbelievable! Anyway, after a long hard week of negotiations, we are moving the Nationals to the beautiful facilities at GICC by the Atlanta Airport. Don't FREAK, your same hotel reservations will be fine. The place is off Camp Creek Parkway almost at the airport so all the 19/41 area hotels are just a couple of miles away and still the cheapest! The show will be mostly an inside deal (air conditioned and NO rain!). We will party like no other! We will have tons of cars in the car show and vendors galore, a gigantic swimsuit competition, and yes lots of live music. I have compiled as much information as I could into this cheesy web builder lame website.
The new one with online registration is coming (I promise), so stay tuned this next week because indoor space will be limited!
Here's What We Do Know!
Nothing can ever take the place of a 20 year tradition,
But we are sure gonna try!!!
What do ya get when you take hundreds of awesome show cars, tons of industry vendors,
continuous live music, AND the world's most beautiful women - IT"S THE NATIONALS, Duh!
Well we are on for the Atlanta Classic event, that fine fall day in the ATL.
In this briefing I will
attempt to tell you everything I know so far:
Admission Pricing:
Saturday Only - $30
Sunday Only - $25
Saturday and Sunday - $50
Car Show Entry Fee - $65
(Includes Admission For Two Saturday and Sunday)
We will have tons of car show classes (find out more when registration goes live this week).
There will be some special prize money for car clubs!
And did I mention tons of gorgeous women?

LOTS MORE INFO TO FOLLOW
I love the fact that this is going to be held indoors, but I don't see any way they could pack half of the amount of cars Nopi usually has into the convention center. I could be wrong tho. They have held HIN there in the past, and I really enjoyed it so I guess we'll see what happens. This will probably knock out the drifting and such, but I'm not as entertained by it anymore anyways. This will however take care of the one thing that always takes away from the enjoyment... the heat!
Shadowfire - i know and its right around the corner hmm i dont know if i'll go it might be nothing but a headach with all packing they will do to get cars indoors. But we will see i should have the car done way before then.
